Stretch Max exercise DVD is a 60 minute workout program that consists of three 20 minute stretching exercise segments. The exercise stretches you will see are a hybrid of basic, athletic-based, yoga-based, and gymnastic-based. Feel free to do any or all of the segments as often as you like. For best results and to enhance your flexibility, it is recommended that you do at least one of the segments 3 times per week. Also note that you should be completely warmed up before participating in the segments. I personally like to stretch after a minimum of a 20 minute cardio. That is when I find my muscles completely pliable and open to elasticity gains. Each segment focuses on stretching all of the major muscle groups in the body. Segment one does this without any equipment, while segment 2 uses a stability ball and segment 3 uses a resistance band. The overall atmosphere on the workouts is calm and peaceful with very little talking once in the stretch.

This is a very well rounded stretch routine and an essential part of any workout regime. Doing this video helps my muscles not feel as tight from my workouts (repair faster!) and it really helps work out those knots in my back from stress! I usually get bored easily from stretch and/or yoga videos, but not with this one... which is amazing. I stalled for a long time buying this and I shouldn't have. Oh well, I have it now!

My only gripes are the music and I wish some of the stretches were held a wee bit longer. No big deal, I don't mind hitting the pause button when I know I've hit a knot/muscle that needs a bit more time. Thanks, Cathe!

This is a very thorough stretch series that limbers up the upper body as well as the lower body.  It's a slow pace that allows you to get a deep stretch without being strenuous like some yoga stretches are or going to quickly like many stretches that are tagged on at the end of a DVD.  Any of the 3 programs are fabulous finishers to Cathe's Gym Style workouts; the very key to maintaining flexibility during strength training.  Relaxing and refreshing!

I didn't know they made workout dvds for stretching!  I saw the stability ball segment on Fit TV, recorded it on my DVR, and I do it almost every day!  It feels great, the music is soothing, I noticed right off the bat that there isn't a lot of talking so you can concentrate on relaxing as you go, and it was fun!  It's almost like my little reward after my workout!  I want the DVD so I can make sure I have it forever!

A stretching DVD is a great idea! I used to skimp on my stretching, but now I've worked it into my schedule -  it's a nice reward after my HIIT.

This is probably the most used Cathe DVD in my collection.  Each of the three workouts is a comprehensive collection of stretches for the entire body, and can easily be adapted for most flexibility levels.  The three workouts are very different from each other.  I've been using the stretches for six months now, each one about once a week, without any boredom.
