Lower Body Blast Workout DVD

Lower Body Blast is a 59 minute workout that has a great mix of both classic and new exercises, effectively sequenced to keep the fat burning and muscles responding. There is simply no lower body muscle that is overlooked or underworked in this challenging, lower body weight training program.

This unique exercise program starts off with a warm up and a brief, energetic, cardio workout to get your body in fat burning mode. Then you'll continue on with intense lower body exercises, sprinkled with fat burning cardio blasts throughout, to really shape and define your thighs and glutes! 


We've even included a bonus toning bar segment that can be used with our Turbo Tower, or a chair, for highly effective results. Enjoy doing this workout one or two times per week on non-consecutive days.  

 

As a special bonus feature, we've also included five exercise premixes to make this workout more time efficient and versatile. Equipment needed for this workout is a high step (or step stool), weighted barbell, dumbbells, a resistance band and sliding disc (or paper plate).

So much fun! August 25, 2012

This workout is AWESOME. I also own the Body Blast Legs and Glutes DVD, and I was looking for another DVD to shake things up a bit.  The best part about this workout is that you never get bored, thinking "OMG when is this set going to be over?"  It's fast-paced, but not so much that I was rushing. The moves were a good mix of classics (squats, static lunges, deadlifts), with newer moves like sliding disc one-legged lunges, fire-walker band seated abductor work, and even some advanced moves like the static lunge with the rear foot elevated (note to self, when Cathe is not using weight, you'd best not either--she really does "burn it out" in that segment!). The cardio blasts mixed in between were great--not too challenging, but enough to keep my heart rate up, and interest piqued (no zoning out here!)   Overall I LOVE this routine, and I will be reaching for it at least weekly for the next several months.  Thank you Cathe again for an amazing workout!

You Can't Go Wrong with Cathe! March 30, 2011

I've been battling with nerve damage, so I am starting all over with Cathe to heal myself.  This video is awsome!!  It may be a lower body workout, but it is a fabulous cardio workout.  The beginning warm-up was very difficult for me to get through, but I'll be challgened by this one for a long, long time.  I love the premixes.  I have almost all of Cathe's DVDs and I figured with the premixes, I must have close to 20,000 different workouts!!  You will never get bored, and I can not say that for a gym!

I love all Cathe workouts and this one is not an exception.  I like that she gives you multiple mixes so that you can do your workouts depend on your mood.  It’s not as hard as other Cathe lower body workouts such as Butts and Guts DVD, but it still work hard your lower body.  Today I didn’t feel very strong so I ended up doing the shorter version of 49 min.

This workout had me feeling it where I wanted to.  It also is a pretty fast moving workout. You go from one exercise to another without a lot of time between. You don't do 3 sets of an exercise with a 30 second rest between sets.  The only time you do multiple sets is where you switch legs. There are also some cardio blasts in it. As result, my heart rate, while not cardio high of course, was a little higher than some other weight workouts-it was perfect.  The sliding disc exercises are great. This is a very challenging workout.  You will feel the sting.  The pace of this workout, the sliding exercises, and other things make this workout different than Cathe's other lower body workouts. It is a wonderful addition to Cathe's library.  It is one of my favorite weight workouts already.
