All Out Low Impact HiiT utilizes one of the best cardio training methods for fat loss and muscle retention called HiiT. The HiiT method stands for High Intensity Interval Training and it's known to be one of the best ways to burn fat and lose weight because it increases your body's metabolism long after your exercise session has ended, not just during it.

In All Out Low Impact HiiT, I will be challenging you with a workout featuring two short, but super intense, low impact segments. This makes it very versatile because you can do both workouts back-to-back or choose to do just one or the other on days that you are really short on time. The first low impact HiiT high intensity segment uses no equipment other than a set of light handweights. The second high intensity segment uses a step and gliding discs along with the set of light hand weights. Both workouts feature a high fun factor along with the perfect amount of intensity.

I love that this workout is not very long even when I add the bonus abs. It isn't her hardest workout, which is welcome on certain days, but I'm still sweating and breathing hard throughout. This workout has one the best music tracks and it keeps me motivated throughout. I reach for this a lot when I don't feel like working out.

Repetitive exercises and the lack of overall energy make this one of my least favorite Cathe DVDs.  If you enjoy doing calisthenics, this DVD may be a good choice.

I am suffering with knee issues from running.  I ran a 15k in November, and my right knee just hasn't been the same.  I took about 8 weeks off and tried to run again, but still had pain/discomfort.  I tried to do my favorite Cathe higher intensity workouts, and experienced the same knee issues.  I am only 33, and just not ready for knee replacement, but will be getting it examined soon to be sure it doesn't need to be scoped.  I remembered that this DVD was included in the XTrain series, but I couldn't remember if I had liked it or not.  I tried it about a month ago, and have been doing it at least 4-5 times per week.  I love it and it doesn't bother my knee!  It doesn't get my heart rate up quite as much as running or her other high intensity DVDs, but it is the closest thing I have found and it makes me feel good about myself when I finish it.  I feel sweaty, happy, and at peace despite my knee issues.

I am not really a fan of cardio unless it's high intensity like interval training. But honestly this one didn't really appeal to me in the beginning- but I'm soo glad I gave it a chance. I actually had fun doing this one and really felt challenged. I absolutely hate jogging/running, but I loved those runningmans. They're challening, make your legs stronger, and help torch calories, all without the unnecessary impact on your joints that running causes.

To respond to one of the reviewers that claim this wasn't challenging enough, I'm a pretty advanced exerciser and end up soaked in sweat every time I do this workout. You only get out of a workout what you put into it, which means you probably need to go a little faster or squat/lunge a little deeper. I personally like to use the high step in this workout with very minor modifications. Once I felt I could do more, I added a riser which makes it far more challenging. Hope this helps.

I love Cathe and I love HIIT training. However, this is not one of my favorites. It just didn't get my heart rate up high enough. I will probably be using it on days when I'm not up to par and need something a little more low key. For a really great HIIT style workout, I'll be using Cathe's Tabatacise or Shock Cardio HIIT workouts instead.
