Okay, if people didn't find this "cardio challenging" is simply because they were dancing around and probably waving their arms and legs without putting much power into their strikes. It really helps when you have an imaginary target (e.g. husband, coworker, etc,) in front of you, and actually strike like you mean it. Trust me, you will feel the difference. As oppose to traditional cardio (which I'm not a fan of) these kind of workouts actually do wonders for your legs, arms, and core. But put your power into it!

Something different

I probably would have given this 3.5 stars, but there wasn't the option. I think it's a good solid workout. I think the new moves are what makes it more on the advanced side, not the cardio. It also has a bit of a bootcamp style feel.
I normally like to split my cardio and strength training into different days, however, a new schedule doesn't permit that. So, I've been mixing up my workouts a bit and this one has been a great addition.
Granted, the pure cardio moves alone aren't going to get your heart rate up the way KPC does. But, the add-on moves, like adding a side jump pushup are what get my heart rate up. I love it when you can get in strength moves without equipment.
I don't have great hip flexibility and bad knees, so there are several moves I have to modify. Even with modifications, I feel like I get soemthing out of it. I do hope that as I do the workout more, my flexibility will improve.

Cardio Just Not There

I love kickboxing workouts and am a HUGE fan of Cathe's Kick, Punch Crunch. So when she came out with her MMA series, I was very psyched. However, I just don't think the MMA workouts (Kickboxing, Fusion and Boxing) deliver on the cardio. In my opinion, the punch/kick combos are too tame.
I also think that the conditioning drills at the end are just not challenging. For example, the Superman punch is about as difficult as standing on one foot.
This feels like a beginner workout to me. I ended up giving this DVD to a friend of mine, who's an avid Cathe fan and works out a lot. She really likes this video and finds it challenging. So maybe it's just not for everyone.

I appreciate the new moves Cathe incorporated into this workout. It has enough cardio to keep my heart rate up and challenging enough to keep my attention.

This workout is fantastic and contains so many cool moves. I really like the second routine.
My heart rate DID go up.
To people whining about it not being hard enough, did you and I do the same workout?
I gave it my all and the workout delivered!
I strongly recommend this workout - it is a very unique way of doing a martial arts workout. I will be enjoying this workout again and again!
