HiiT stands for High Intensity Interval training and is hands down one of the best ways to burn fat without causing your body to catabolize your own muscle tissue.

HiiT features three different high intensity routines that are all right around 30 minutes or less making these workouts perfect for you to use on days where you池e short on time.

The first HiiT workout is 30/30, and as the title suggests, each interval is divided into 30 second high energy, plyo reps, followed by an equal 30 second rest for a total of 16 tough intervals.

The 2nd HiiT workout is 40/20 and you値l be doing 16 intervals. Each interval will be divided into 40 second high energy, plyo reps, followed by a 20 second rest. Three additional one minute breaks will be spread throughout the program.

The 3rd HiiT workout is Double Wave Pyramid. In this workout you値l do two rounds of intervals separated by only a one minute rest. In each round, you値l follow a pyramid cycle of nine intervals, in which you値l start your first set with a 20 second interval, and work your way up to the top of the pyramid, increasing each interval by five seconds as you go. Then you値l work your way back down the pyramid decreasing each interval by five seconds.

I love this cardio workout...It is short but really get my heart rate high!It is definitely effective. I did it twice by adding it to my fitness routine...did 30/30 yesterday before completing power hour.I felt my glutes more while performing my squat on power hour,.My top was soaked!This dvd is not for beginners even 30/30 is challenging, and tough...This is a must have in my opinion

Wow! Kick your butt in 30 min April 8, 2010

Go Cathe! Please keep making this wonderful workout DVDs for us.  You get more and more fears with the time.  I love that this workout is only 30 min, but don't let that foul you.  It kicks your butt.  Each segment let you out of air, but the good thing is that you have time between segments to recuperate.  I personally took a bit more time between segments.  Each segment let me dripping in sweat.  It is very fun too.  This DVD is a must have in your Cathe collection.

This is an awesome workout & great for when you only have 30 minutes to dedicate to a workout.  You will NOT feel like you slacked on your workouts using HIIT!  Cathe, you never cease to kick my butt & I love it!

i did hiit 30/30 for the 1st time today and i loved it! it's short, to the point, and INTENSE. this is definitely a workout to grow with, which i really like. the intensity of 30/30 makes me a little scared of 40/20 and double wave pyramid (since 30/30 is supposed to be the "easiest" of the 3), but i'm looking forward to trying the other workouts.

All 3 of these are tuff, especially 40/20. I love these for a great, quick, but very effective cardio before I start my day.
