Learning to step is so much fun besides being good for the overall body conditioning and increasing stamina, without being streneous on the joints. The three step combos in this DVD are easy to learn and can be done again and again without getting bored. Simply change the order in which you do them. The way they are interwoven with strength training intervals is also another plus point...for any beginner/intermediate exerciser who wants to go one Notch up in fitness level. I noticed that my stamina and strength has got better and better with each stepping session. Thid DVD is pure value for money for all people who are just starting out with cathe. It has Basic Stepping tutorial, Cardio steps and strength training. Besides, the Add ONs for lower body , upper body and Abs are fantastic on their own, or even better when combined with stepping sessions. Go for it for a fantastic fitness journey.

I like change, but need fast paced to keep my attention. So,I decided I wanted to try stepping. While researching different DVD's I came across Cathe and I love it. Cathe is very encouraging and easy to understand. The part I like the most is she does everything right along with you. Most instructors don't. I'm still working on being a little more smooth in my moves, but boy am I working up a sweat. I love how she does cardio and then implements weights too. I really love the body fusion. Now I'm ready to see what else Cathe has in store for me.

I'm sorry, but I'm just not a big fan of step workouts! I absolutely love Cathe's strength & toning workouts, which have made me a loyal fan of hers but the step is just not my cup of tea.
I still think that this is a bit too advanced for someone who is totally new to the step, but I guess if you keep doing it you will eventually get it. Maybe if I was actually good I would probably enjoy it but I'm more into cardio workouts like kickboxing, plyometrics, and bootcamp style workouts.
I would also suggest that once you master the strength exercises to use heavier weights.

The long winter months here in Minnesota are taking a toll on me and my weight. I've owned a step for years just couldn't find a video that was easy to move along with. So I watched the basic step and body fusion on you tube first and decided to order it. Kind of spendy but it makes me break a sweat every time. I haven't seen a weight change yet but I've only had it a couple weeks. Great first time step video.. Thanks Cathe!

After having my son and gaining 50 pounds, using this DVD 3-5 times a week helped me lose all of my baby weight in a few short months. Very simple but effective. Doesn't take longer than 30 minutes. Wasn't hard on my body at all, which was important after having a C-Section. Love this DVD!!
