Body Max 2 is 97 minutes long and features a warm up, a high intensity solid step segment, a cardio leg blast segment, an all upper body ( moderate to heavy weight) workout, a super tough core segment, and stretch. This is definitely an "eat your wheaties" workout! A step, hand weights, weighted barbell, and resistance band will be used in this workout

Body Max 2 Breakdown: Body Max 2 is similar in format to the original Body Max and is an advanced 97 minute total body workout.

Popped this one in last weekend after spending a long time on the newer Cathe work outs, and quickly remembered why it's a favorite.  First, the step choreography is phenomenal. It's high impact, very straightforward but challenging, and THEN... there are those Blasts. You'll be huffing and puffing (and cursing!) by the time you get to those.  The weight segments are also great, and the music exceptionally good.  Because it's a long workout, there are plenty of pre-mix options to keep you happy.  So if you're newer to Cathe, or somehow never bought this one before, be sure to add it to your collection.  You'll be very glad you did!

I've had this for a while and I have ALOT of Cathe's workouts and this one is an all time favorite!! The other reviews are accurate because this has everything! There's nothing too dancy or intricate.  Zero dread and a whole bunch of fun! An accomplishment to get thru it but once you do.... it's an awsome feeling!  You will def lose a pound or two with this one! A must buy for any Cathlete!

I agree with all of the below reviews, but the only thing I want to add, this is the workout if you just don't want to work out but you know you'll feel better if you do, even if you just do the step portion of it.  It's such a great workout.  I love the music and it just instantly puts you in a good mood, especially if you went to high school in the 80s.  
I'm not a fan of the music in a number of the dvds, but this one hits the nail on the head!!!!

This one has everything!!!  Done all at once, the whole 97 minutes, makes for a doozy of a workout.  Broken into it's components, it's a wonderfully versatile workout.  You can do legs, you can do upper body, you can bring it together to make a full body workout with no cardio, you can do steady cardio only, you can do cardio with intervals, and then abs as well.  And any combo you can think of!!!  Requires minimal equipment - a step (must have), a couple sets of DB's (must have) a mat (optional) and a stability ball (optional, but nice) And it's fun!

I have alot of Cathe's DVDs but if I were stranded on a desert island this is the one I would take - there are just so many premixe and mix-and-match options that this is dozens of workouts on one DVD, pick and choose what you feel like doing or do the entire thing, which is exhausting! I love this one, and the music will motivate you on your laziest days.
