Athletic Training Workout DVD

Until now you have always had to choose between high intensity cardio and low impact exercise workouts, but now with my Athletic Training workout you can get the benefits of both at the same time.

Athletic Training is a low impact circuit workout that takes fitness circuits to a whole new dimension. Be prepared for nonstop action using my cardio club step, a set of light and heavy dumbbells, a firewalker band and a pair of Slide N Glide exercise discs.

Depending on the exercise, youll vary your step height anywhere from 8 to 10 inches while you challenge your body both on and off the step in a variety of challenging ways. Youll do compound exercises along with isolation exercises, work the upper and lower body both simultaneously and separately, do low impact cardio exercises with and without discs and bands, and even throw a superset in here and there for complete exhaustion!

The total time of Athletic Training is 56 minutes (Warm Up 6:07, Circuit Training 46:27, Cool Down/Stretch 3:23)

This workout features our vocals only option which allows you to play your own music if desired.

I've just recently "discovered" Cathe's workouts as I had been looking to get out of my "rut" from my old DVDs that I was getting bored with and seeing few results from. This DVD did that and then some! I LOVE IT! I am just dripping with sweat by the end and feel soooo accomplished when I make it all the way through! I cannot recommend this one highly enough!

I never used to be a fan of cardio and weights in one workout, but I have less time these days and with a DVD like Athletic Training, I don't feel shortchanged in any area.

The step moves are basic so you can concentrate on working hard.  The rest of the workout on the floor also has basic moves, but because you're combining several moves at once, it requires concentration  and balance which also keeps the mind occupied, which I love.  I find the discs work well as soon as you get the hang of them.

The music is fine, I don't love it.  I'm not a fan of the music on any of the new DVD's, but the workouts are so good, it's not a deal breaker for me.  

Some of the moves tweak my wrists, so I have to modify those. I found that to be the case on several of the new Low Impact DVD's.

I think this one is my favorite of the series.  I consider myself in excellent shape but this workout leaves me breathless.  Cathe mixes in upper body with lower body and the moves are easy to follow.  I absolutely love the music too.

I love Cathe and the reason I love her is because her workouts make exercise FUN, not a chore.
I've done this one a few times now. The moves in this DVD are pretty straightforward, so even someone new to Cathe could catch on easily (most likely would need a lower step and lighter weights though). But for me, that is why this won't be one of my favorites. It seems a bit repetitive and although it is a GREAT all-over workout (you will feel it the next day), it doesn't keep my 'mind' busy enough: which means the workout seems much longer.
Also, I knocked off a star for the music, good music is key for me, and this is Muzak-techno throughout. Katy Perry is bad enough, but when you put her music into Muzak; ick.
So, a good workout, but won't be on the top of my pile.
