Calorie Burn? |

I have been doing this video for over 2 years now, and just like a previous review, keep coming back for more. It really is a FULL body work out and as your strength increases, so can the amount of weights you use. I was trying to find somewhere on the website for an approximate amount of calorie burn for each workout. Anyone have an estimate on the burn for Muscle Max?

This is a workout I always come back to- it is very comprehensive and tough. I love the use of heavier weights- different from a lot of the other hi-rep/endurance style workouts on the market today. The band bonuses are amazing and really fry you. I can't recommend this workout enough!

Definitely a "Cathe workout" |

OMG Cathe's crazy! This is by far one of the best full body workouts I've ever done. It doesn't matter how advanced you are, if you use enough weight this will keep you challenged and will give you incredible results. The squats and lunges alone (especially those darn little pulses) without weights, will leave you begging for mercy.

Having Fibromyalgia, I get muscle cramps and extreme fatigue at any given time. It has been since 2008 that I have done this DVD, but tried it again today. Even with my condition, I was able to get a user-friendly workout to suite my level & needs. I have to say the Leg exercises in this workout fried me. I was only able to use about half of waht Cathe uses, but it gives me incentive to use this more so that I can increase my ability. You can modify to use dumbbells only. Unlike her newer strength workouts, she does tell you what she's lifting so you can gage your weights. This is a DVD that's more than worth the price thanks to the premixes & as always perfect cueing and the option to always increase your weights. A wide variety of dumbbells, a Can-Do attitude, body band, and step/bench are all you need to get the best strength workout of your life! I'm glad I dusted it off and already feel DOMS throughout just a few hours after using it. I also recommend her Gym Styles Split Series!

Fantastically Hard Core!!! |

I just received my set of all 10 HardCore DVDs in the mail this week. I did MuscleMax for the first time yesterday, and it was great! Since I didn't know the DVD very well, and only had an hour I did the 56 minute time saver pre-mix, and was a bit conservative on the weights I used (all while being extremely impressed at the weight Cathe used!). I'm strong, but my goodness! I can't wait to be as strong as her!
It was great to have do a real weight lifting tape - one that encourages you to lift heavy, and explore your limits. Great classic excercises, and superb instruction. I can't wait to do all the other DVDs!!! I bought the set of 10 based on video clips on the website, and all the great reviews. I love that I finally have the option of working out by lifting heavy at home!
No to finally finish my basement so I can develop my home gym even more! Squat rack here I come!
