mini mat for step |

This is a great product. It fits the step perfectly, is well priced, is easy to use, and makes great padding on the step for weight workouts, which I previously disliked because of lying on the hard step. With regard to a previous review, mine came well packaged and rolls out easily. I highly recommend this product and would definitely purchase it again.

I received this in the mail today and I think it is well worth the small price tag! It is approx 2-2.5 times thicker than Cathe's thickest yoga mat. It is the same thickness as your typical pilates mat and is made of durable foam. You can easily kneel on this pad or cushion your tailbone without issues. I use my Step for all of Cathe's strength DVDs and this allows me the range of motion with chest work, padding for bony or sensitive body parts, nor will I trip over it like I have with regular sized mats.
It comes with an elastic strap so you can roll it up and store it away. I had no issues from packaging with mine and it rolled out almost 100% flat the first time out of the box. Cathe's name is printed on top which for me, adds to the motivation factor when working out. It's just the right amount of padding and length to get the job done without the extra bulk that regular mats and towels provide.
The best $12 I have ever spent!

Not the quality I had expected |

I received my mat yesterday and was not too pleased. The way it is packaged caused it to be misshapened and ridged. I am hoping that a few days out of the box might help remedy that situation. Also, when I put it on my step, it didn't seem to cushion as well as I had expected. Oh well, the cost was minimal and this is the first Cathe product I have not been thrilled with.

LOVE THE MAT |

I have been using my regular Cathe mat for my step when I use it as a bench during strength training.
I was thrilled to see Fitness by Cathe finally offered this mat.
Not only is it great for home use, for travelers it is a great idea!
