Great for big hands |

I used these 2lb weighted gloves for my STS rotation and really loved it. Yes, the palm is open but its good for those with big hands. I also like this because it gives the palms air and lets me feel what I'm gripping or if I want to use them for kickboxing, I can close my fist. it has a nice wrist wrap to feel secure. Each glove has two 1/2 lb sand squares. The little sandbags in this glove are softer and a bit bigger than the sandbags in the 4lb gloves. The sandbags in the 4lb weighted gloves(2 lbs in each glove) are smaller and more compact. I tried to put the smaller sandbags in my 2 lb weighted gloves but it wasn't as comfortable because the little sandbags were stiff. You can fit in 1/2 lb more in these 2lb gloves but thats about it. The zipper won't close if you try and put more in them.
I recommend these gloves for bigger hands or men size hands. They are great for kickboxing and also powerwalking.

Misleading |

In the photo, it really looks like the palm is covered. Only now the description says that it's covered. But few days ago when I bought it, it didn't! So I bought it thinking it will protect my palm when I lift weight and at the same time, it will add some weight. But if I would have known that the palm is open, I would had got the cardio gloves only. But now, I had to go and also buy the cardio gloves. I spent 30$ instead of 10. I wish it was more clear. Now that there is the new gloves that came up only few days after I bought both gloves, they changed the description and it's more clear. I never write a review at any other web site. But I really feel I was mislead. I am very disappointed.

Just so you know, these are 1 lb each. I mistakenly bought these thinking they were 2 lbs each.
