Great DVD for a Light Step Workout or for a Day Of January 14, 2018

If you are interested in learning a new step workout this one is for you. This one is a little bit more intermediate because you will be jumping over the step. You will be doing some new step moves than the normal beginning steppers does. It takes time to figure this step routine, but when you do it us so fun. It doesn't have step blasts or premixes just a warm up and three steep combos, but that is all you need. Cathe is still her awesome self.  This workout is for when you need something light.

A Fun Favorite! February 17, 2012

This workout is great for intermediate to advanced Catheletes.  As an intermediate stepper, it offered me a challenging workout.  The choreography is advanced, but learnable and easy to modify into low impact.  My fitness level has improved, and I still work up a sweat. I've added a riser, but the cardio is not as challenging. I use Step Moves now as a break in between days I do more intense 70-90 minute workouts.  If you like "dancy" routines, this one is for you.  The intensity is equivalent to low impact circuit (step premix) and low max (all step premix). It is more difficult than basic step and low impact step, but not as difficult as rhythmic step and body max 2 or any of the new LIS DVDs.

Fun but Disappointing October 28, 2010

This is a fun workout because the  choreography is fun.  The steps are challenging to learn, but learnable. However, it doesn't get my heart rate up to even moderate. It is also a very short workout-including the warm up, it is only 39 minutes of cardio.  I was very disspointed in this workout.  So, choreography  wise this dvd is fun, but for a good workout where you burn lots of calories, get your heart rate up, and pant, this dvd isn't good. I like good fun choreography, but would rather have my heart pounding.  Wish there were some blasts in it between the step combo's.  On a scale of 1-10 I'd give the choreography a 7 and the heart pounding factor a 4.

So disappointed. Boring music boring workout. October 21, 2010

I ordered the entire series of shock cardio dvds and was very excited to try it.  This dvd does not make the cut.  I would return it if I could.  It lacks Cathe's usual energy and innovation.  The music is not motivating and the moves are lackluster.

A steady state workout that's fun! March 11, 2010

I have done Cathe workouts for years and I love the variety. My only problem with many of her workouts is they invariably have several  "high intensity blast" sections. While I understand the benefit of these, sometimes I would like a workout that maintains my heart rate throughout. This one does, and it combines many moves I've seen and some I haven't in new and interesting way. It will take a while to get the choreography down, but once I do, this will be a workout I'll use again and again. My favorite Cathe step workout so far!
